About

Cultivator of Curiosity

Joseph always wanted to be a teacher.  Being a leader and facilitator came naturally and impassioned them to pursue that dream.

They officially began living the teaching dream in 1999 by teaching middle school in the California public school system. After a decade of teaching youth they were inspired to focus their teaching efforts on expanding the minds of fellow educators by providing them with the skills to adapt their instruction to the needs of today’s classroom and ensure their students’ success.

Their passion and curiosity for how we as humans learn led them to California Institute of Integral Studies where they earned their M.A. in Somatic Psychology. This education gave them an understanding of how the interaction of our body structures with our thoughts, feelings, and actions affect how it is we learn through the lens of social justice.

Today they are a teacher and counselor at an alternative public high school in San Francisco, a Somatic Therapist, and an Open Floor Movement teacher in the SF Bay area and various states, as well as at Esalen Institute in Big Sur.
